on anti-ai crowd
TONE: This uses offensive words, and is written as a neutral instance. I have love and hate with AI tech as of where it stands.
Probably this post will hit all of you like a truck. None of this is researched and is only my personal opinion. Thorough research is necessary.
Every country in this living planet is covered with cars and there are trillion dollar industries because of cars. We have known for the long time cars are detrimental to culture, society, and environment. Yet we consume it.
Beef and animal products make up for large part of environmental concerns. No one bats an eye when they eat beacon or the steak. To them it is the true definition of food. Anything plant is animal fodder. So for those people they consume it despite the environmental concern.
But when comes to AI and datacenter, their moral high horses are up. When they robbed the entire world for what is like 12% of the population, that was okay. When AI came and robbed "content" and "IPs" it is not okay. I am seeing this as a complete bystander and it feels fucking hilarious to see the double standard.
If your entire creativity can be outdone by a fucking bot, why do you call yourself creative? I hate clankers but not for the reason why they stand. I hate it because of the divide and social economic effects. The secondary and tertiary effects of the frontiers. I fucking love this technology because it enables a lot of us to do fun things.
But these hypocrites of so called Anti-AI crowd, who thinks themselves as superior can take their high horse and fuck off. It really doesn't matter what they say.
I am venting out here because these people are just insane. The last tech they used is from 2022 when ChatGPT came out and they are denying others from using it with their moral superiority and what not. Why the fuck do you need watermarking? To appeases these luddites? They don't know about AI and just moan out whenever they see these letters together. Just because slop is a problem doesn't mean the tech is bad. There are people who can genuinely do amazing things with it. FUCKING SEE THAT FIRST.
The only bad part of AI is it's being shoved down in a wrong way. It is the fucking economy that is the problem. Do not judge the tech and stand against it just because "AI stole my art, AI stole my content, AI stole my creative output."
Piracy was a thing and is still a thing. So seriously fuck off double standard people. Wants to make money but can't stand others making money using AI. Hypocrites.
As if, it mattered to anyone. NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ABOUT WHAT YOU DO. Just like no one will read this blog post.
SO STOP WHINING AND LEARN TO USE IT. IT HELPS YOU.
If AI atrophies your skill on one side, it is helping your brain to focus on another side. You can experiment more, test more. But these whining people never use it and just complain saying "AI == bad", "AI is bad because it stole content. They burned books.", "AI creates fake news.", "AI makes anyone write sloppy code.", "AI is ruining this field, that field.".... Jesus christ, just fucking stop.
So did calculators, so did smartphones, so did screenshot, so did any other tech that came before. Instead of concerning with what AI can do or is, work on this tech to democratize it. We don't want only 4 labs dominating everything. Spend resource on making it accessible to everyone.
With the way things are going, there won't be any necessity of any of "your superior skills" because it will be truly dystopian the minute the button flicks. This tech is truly powerful because the underlying math is robust. Hating AI is hating the efforts of all those scientist, mathematicians, researchers, engineers and hours of research into the field. 60 fucking years for nothing is no joke. Everyone fucking laughed at them. Now that they did something, "Oh it is bad, oh this, oh that."
The real problem is the economic and structural divide. These anti-ai crowd and their fucking sense of morality and superiority is furthering this ahead because that is how division starts. Cat is out of the bag, so go and find the cat and learn to live with it. In fact groom it so it doesn't ruin things for everyone. If you are so smart, fucking save the tech from falling into hands of few corrupt leaders who only care about profits and power.
Deep down they are just sad it was not them and some else. There goes my two cents.
